A survey of surviving headstones was one of the early projects undertaken by members of the Kent Family History Society and the inscription from 280 headstones were published in 1984 on microfiche 18.
The remaining inscriptions were not published until 1995 on microfiche 1752 and included the inscriptions from more than 800 headstones in the churchyard and memorials inside the church.
The download includes a plan of the churchyard plus a combined index to almost 2000 names from both publications plus copies of the original publications.

St James Church, Dover was destroyed during World War 2. No interior memorials survived. In 1973 the churchyard was cleared by the council. This publication has drawn together records from 1915 and earlier published on microfiche by the Society. Also included are some records from the "new" church built in 1862 in Maison Dieu Road and demolished after the last war together with some memorials from the former Holy Trinity Church.
Copies of the fiche are included together with an index of names.

A project to transcribe the surviving headstones was undertaken by a small team in the summer of 1989 and published on microfiche 1643 in 1991. This scanned copy of the microfiche contains index of names, plan of churchyard and sketch of graves to assist with identification.

A scanned copy of microfiche 1982 published in 2002. The inscriptions inside St Mary's Dover were recorded between 1991 and May 2000 by members of Kent Family History Society. Also included are names from books of remembrance including the Herald of Free Enterprise disaster 1987, War memorials to Cinque Port Pilots, Dover Harbour Board, The East Kent Road Car Company, St Mary's School, HMTS Alert and others.

Early 19th century M.I.s from St Lawrence in Thanet - Transcribed by G.B.T.Goodwin. 2006
On his holiday in Ramsgate with his family in the summer of 1829 Mr. Daniel Benham recorded the Monumental Inscriptions in St. Laurence Churchyard and a few from other locations in Thanet.

He wrote these up in a Journal which has survived (Canterbury Cathedral Archives Add MS 271/1). He recorded over 600 monumental inscriptions from St. Lawrence churchyard. These
are important as all predate the growth in Ramsgate which occurred later in the 19th century. Bound into the back of the Journal there are rubbings of brasses and other
monuments from several Thanet churches.

The memorials in the small churchyard extension of the St Peters and St Paul, Yalding were photographed in 2025 and the inscriptions transcribed by a small team of members of the Society. The main churchyard was not photographed as it contains a lot of very old stones and is very large.
