The Society's Archive is a valuable resource, available to members.
The Society's Archive is based in a climate-controlled environment in Maidstone. To arrange a visit please email Anne Ashdown at archivist@kfhs.org.uk
There are over 800 family files which have been deposited since 1974. Some are in the form of published family journals, others are files which have been researched over many years and include photographs and family tales. Please use the archive as a backup for your research and to help future generations.
The index can be found in the members area of our website.
We have a large collection of donated certificates which have been indexed, if you have any you no longer need, please forward them to us so other members may benefit.
There are books covering most of the individual towns and villages in Kent. There is also a collection of general books on the County of Kent.
There is a collection of parishes information in the form of village newsletters, church histories and local stories. (Up to date information and recent church newsletters would be gratefully received).
We are indexing some of the books in our collection. These indexes can be found in the members area of the website.
