About the talk: Bob says that the story of RAF Biggin Hill is so fascinating, colourful, dramatic and romantic that it is often difficult to believe it all really happened.
About the speaker: before retiring Bob Ogley was editor of the Sevenoaks Chronicle, during which time he also wrote a regular weekly nostalgic feature under the pseudonym, Chronicler. His book: In The Wake of The Hurricane, about the greatest storm ever to hit the south-east in 1987, was a best seller. Since then Bob has been a prolific writer and researcher for many more local books with a nostalgic theme. Two titles, Biggin on the Bump and The Ghosts of Biggin Hill, cover the subject of Bob's talk and are available to purchase in local bookshops and online.
