We were really sorry to hear of the death of one of our our Vice Presidents, Michael Gandy, last month. He was a founder member of KFHS and a Vice President from 2013. Michael was a key figure in the genealogical community and was well known for his entertaining talks. Among other areas of research, he was an expert on non conformism, and his little book Family History: Cultures and Faiths, published by the National Archives, is one to which I often refer, having Methodists and Baptists amongst my ancestors. Michael and his expertise will be much missed, and we extend our sympathies to his family and friends.
