Due to coronavirus restrictions we were unable to hold the 46th Annual General Meeting of the Society physically. Hence, the AGM for the year 2020 was held remotely via Zoom Video Conferencing, at 11 am (UK) Saturday 24th October 2020, with the added bonus that all members worldwide were able to join us.

Voting on the Society's Accounts, Auditors and for the Executive Committee for the coming year 2020 - 2021 took place in the Members Area a few days before the Virtual Meeting and were announced at the 46th AGM.

The AGM paperwork may be read by members in the December Journal and in the members area of this website My Kent FHS

After the AGM business was concluded the results of the 2020 Alan Neame Award were announced:

First Prize: Christina Bouldin for her article A grievous inheritance.
Christina's article tells of family research via an inherited illness and will be featured in the December Journal

Second Prize: Rosie Ansell for her article Some unexpected relatives!

Society Chairman, David Wood, then invited members to put pen to paper and fingers to keyboards to enter the 2021 Alan Neame Award. Closing date 30th June 2021
