We shared memories of childhood meals and favourite and least liked foods over refreshments.
Most of us had memories of mothers and grandmothers who could cook plain but delicious food using, by today's standards, very basic equipment. Influenced by wartime rationing and the seasonal availability of food stuff. Most of us also remembered school dinners as indifferent compared to meals at home.
