Our thanks go to Andrew Clarke for bringing to life for us a time when Maidstone was a thriving brewery town. This time Andrew delivered a slide show and talk featuring the location of the pubs and the breweries that supported them.
In 1905 there were 175 pubs in the town! It is interesting that many of the buildings remain as other businesses today and some are still pubs though these are much reduced in number.
