Meryl Catty, who has come to us on previous occasions, came back this month to give one of her talks. This one took as the theme getting side-tracked during the course of our research, a problem common to many people.
The talk was delivered in Meryl’s usual easy to listen to and amusing way. The number of examples described and the detail unearthed showed that she clearly thoroughly enjoys these distractions as we all did listening to her tales. Without doubt family history research provides a huge amount of material for us to explore and provides a fascinating insight to the lives of our ancestors and their compatriots and how social values change through the years.
