Local Historian, Andrew Sargent, talked to us about the Landlords and Landladies of some of Deal Pubs in the 18th and 19th centuries. He had done a great deal of research into this subject, including having published a book about his findings entitled Drinking in Deal: Beer, Pubs and Temperance in an East Kent Town 1830-1914.
