About the Silver Anniversary Talk: Prior to the 1st of July 1837 births, deaths and marriages were not civilly registered the only records were found in the Parish Records. Lady Teviot will explore how it was organised when, with the increase in population, its establishment was considered necessary.
About the Speaker: Lady Teviot has been involved with family history research for over thirty-five years. She has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Family History Federation, and International Liaison Officer from 1995 to 2001 when she became the President of the Federation until 2011. She is now a life Vice President. Lady Teviot is an accredited speaker for the East Sussex and Surrey Women's Institutes and has lectured internationally.
