About the Branch AGM: our AGM is a very short meeting to elect a committee for the coming year and to accept the branch accounts. Non-members may attend the branch AGM but may not vote. Non-members fee £2
About the talk: following the AGM Roger Lightfoot, former manager of the Ashford Cattle Market will give a talk about The History of the Market. Ashford has been a market town since at least the 13th century with a market based in Middle Row and the High Street. The 19th century saw the start of the Ashford Cattle Market Company and a move to a new site. The Market has grown over the years which meant moving to other locations round and about the town.
