Family History Help & Advice for All
These free sessions, offered by Kent FHS members are held in Canterbury
Saturday 2nd March 2019 9:15am - 12:45pm
Help & Advice session at Canterbury Cathedral Archives
Organised in partnership with Canterbury Cathedral Archives and Library. Sessions are for all levels of ability, from beginners to experienced, who are researching family in Kent and the UK.
We can only set you off on your quest and give research tips to get you started. The thrill of the rest of the chase to find your ancestors is down to you!
Please remember to bring with you all the research you have so far not just for the specific query you will be posing. Fresh eyes looking at your full tree can often find the answer to your query.
09:15 - 10:30am
10:45 - 12 noon
Due to the success of the Help & Advice sessions booking a timed hour and a quarter appointment via the archives is essential. It will also ensure that you are informed about any last minute closures, and are eligible for free access to The Cathedral Precincts as there is normally an entry fee.
Please Note: Priority will be given to those who book in advance.
All researchers are required to register for a reader’s ticket which can be made in a few minutes on the day.
