Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month (except August and December) at The Willesborough Windmill, Hythe Road, Willesborough, Ashford off Hythe Road (A20) .6.30 p.m. for 7.30 p.m. The car park is accessible from Lees Road, the adjacent turning.

AUSTRALIAN NEWSLETTER
Australian FlagAustralia (Founder Editor - Maggie Woodroffe)

'Down Under' the Australian Newsletter, was founded in August 2004. Its purpose is to provide 'local' communication for all members in Australia which I hope will serve to bring them closer together.

All Australian paid-up members receive a copy three times a year in April, August and December and this is funded by the Society.

Contributions and articles, no matter how small, from all members worldwide, are welcome and can be sent by snail mail to me at 17 Barton St, Yankalilla, SA 5203 or by email to: demew33@adam.com.au

As Australian Agent as well as Editor of 'Down-Under', I hope that I can be of assistance in general enquiries from members over here. Please feel free to email, write, or ring me on (new telephone number to be advised soon) (evenings for preference) if there is anything I might be able to help you with.

CANTERBURY

Unless otherwise stated the Branch meets monthly on the second Friday at the
British Red Cross Centre, Bradbury House, 2, Chantry Lane, Canterbury CT1 1UF.
Doors open at 7.00 pm and meetings start at 7.30 pm.
The July meeting is a ticketed event held away from our hall, otherwise branch
meetings are free to KFHS Members and Non-members pay £1.
There is no parking at the hall but Longport City Council car park
is on the opposite side of the road, almost opposite the hall.
Parking fees apply until 9 pm.

Canterbury Branch is on the move:

We are outgrowing our current meeting hall. Hence Canterbury Branch are actively seeking a new venue somewhere in our area and hopefully that will still be in our city. Once we know where we are moving to we will put a note on the homepage of our website with a link to a Map marking the venue. To save a wasted journey Members, especially those who do not attend branch meetings regularly, are advised to check where we are at: www.canterburykfhs.co.uk/

COACH OUTINGS

We can also drop off passengers at the Royal Botanic Garden.

All outings start in Sturry where we have free parking,
then on to Canterbury collecting at Dover Rd Park & Ride, with two more stops
on Canterbury ring road. The final stop is on A2 Preston, Faversham.

Trips must be booked and paid for in advance and are open to
Members & Non Members alike on a first come first served basis.


WWI Battlefields - Day coach outing 2015

The branch are currently organising a day coach outing outing to the
WWI Battlefields ending in Ypres for the Last Post at the Menin Gate.
The date is yet to be advised but we are considering Spring 2015.

and also have some ideas for possible inclusion into the day's timetable

DEAL

Branch meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month (except January). All meeting, unless otherwise stated are held at Wesley Hall in Trinity Church, Union Road, Deal, CT14 6EA. Doors open at 7.00 pm and talks start at 7.30 pm. Meetings are open to all and are free to Members of KFHS - Non Members pay £1. Onsite parking is limited but Union Road council car park is less than 5 minutes walk away from the hall.
